Lara has a diverse work background with a focus on social and environmental causes. She began her journey at Global Optimism as Tom Rivett-Carnac's Executive Assistant and has since taken on the role of Operations Coordinator to support the growing team.
Prior to this, Lara served as the Programme Manager for a small international charity that supports grassroots initiatives in addressing climate change. In an earlier phase of her career, she held a senior position at a children's charity, concentrating on improving the outcomes of underprivileged families. This experience, combined with her interest in sustainable food provision, led her to run projects in Zimbabwe, India and Nepal to improve the health and livelihood outcomes of rural citizens, focusing on young adults and community engagement through localised, sustainable agriculture.
